Disneyland is currently having their annual California Food & Wine Festival in the California Adventure theme park. The festival runs 4/11/2008-5/5/2008. The festival consists of various cooking demonstrations, food tastings, wine tastings and seminars. Some of these events are free and some will cost you a pretty penny. One of the events that will not cost you too much is the "Taste of California Marketplace." This event features Tapas style food served out of the kitchen at the Lucky Fortune Cookery on Pacific Wharf. Below are pictures of the Tapas that we tried.
Lobster Lollipops ($5.25)
Hummus with Pita Chips ($3.75)
White Cheddar Soup ($4.00)
Wild Mushroom Risotto ($3.75)
Cheese Plate ($5.00)
They also offered some other items that we did not try, like Peppercorn Crusted Beef Tenderloin Slider ($5.00), Beef and Chicken Skewers ($5.25), Seasonal Berry Trifle ($4.00) and Ghirardelli Chocolate Marquise ($4.00). Everyone seemed to like their food ok. No one was blown away though. The only item I tried, the lobster lollipop, pretty much semed like a breaded and fried shrimp in a mayonnaise based sauce. My wife really liked that the parmesan cheese on her Cheese Plate was drizzled with honey. I must also stress that all of these items are really small. Don't expect to get more than a few bites from any of them. The bread bowl with the White Cheddar Soup looks pretty big in the picture, but in reality it was probably the size of a tennis ball or a little smaller. If you were planning to eat these for a meal, you'd probably have to buy all of them.

So I still have about three weeks to try some of it. They used to have Mexican items at this.
Christian-
I didn't see any Mexican items, but they could have been at a different location that I didn't see.
It's really fun, I was there last weekend. Oh by the way, don't drink and get on the Screaming Roller Coaster, even if it's after 45 minutes.... They don't mix well. : )
Savvy Gal-
Another great tip! I'll make sure to avoid doing this!
