Since I recently had such a bad experience at Taqueria El Chilito with what turned out not to be “Mexican style” nachos, my wife and I decided it was time for a trip to our favorite place to get nachos. Alberta's.
At Alberta’s they actually call their nachos, “Super Chips,” and super they absolutely are. They take a large mound of fresh chips and smother them with beans, tons of shredded cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole and the meat of your choice. I usually get carnitas, but this time I decided to go for the carne asada. Super Chips will set you back $7.33, but it’s well worth it.

These nachos are usually large enough for two people to share. After our recent experience with bad nachos though, my wife and I decided to be greedy and order one for each of us. We eagerly pigged out on the nachos and they seemed to be even better than I remembered. Of course neither one of us finished our nachos, but I came pretty close. :-)

looks like pretty good. do yourselves a favor and try the nachos at Taco Adobe in Orange. them are some mighty fine nachos. make sure and go to Orange and the Adobe in santa ana has been sold.
Looks like another of the Alberto's orphans, like Alerto's, Alejandro's, etc. Damn good food, though.
